At Desktop Publishing Services, we design our own trainings so that we can emphasize the structure of the information. Understanding the step-by-step process of each technique is the goal of our trainings. All our trainings are packed with both depth and scope. That means you learn as much as you can absorb.

What we don't do is tutorial-style training that emphasizes how to create a sample,
like a newsletter, an approach which inevitably involves a lot of production detail:

"Move the paisley shape to the X coordinate of 156 and the
Y coordinate of 229."

You get so caught up in the surface detail that when you're done, you've got a beautiful sample but you're not sure how you got there.

In our trainings, we don't care what the specific numbers are because we stress the process, not the surface detail. And you won’t be doing a lot of repetition in the training session. Instead, you’ll be doing that on your own using our detailed handouts to help you. The topic outlines on this site, by the way, are skeletal compared with the full details of the outline you’ll receive in each session.

As you learn a technique, you'll understand not only how to do it in different situations, but also when it's appropriate and why. That gives you the kind of mastery that gets the job done. And isn’t that really the reason you wanted to find good training in the first place?
